SCHOLARSHIP

MISSION

Dance is a simple word but can mean the world to someone as an outlet of expressing themselves in ways they never dreamed or imagined. ‘Dance with No Limits’ was created with the intention to share and spread the love of dance even when life has other ideas. The thought behind this scholarship is to provide a means for someone who may have struggled with a hardship in the past, but persevered and continued to grow their passion. This person does not let anything stop their love for dance and continues to fight on and dance their way to happiness.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Applicant must have at least 6 months of bellydance experience

• Applicant must be currently taking classes or have taken classes within the last month

• All levels are welcome to apply

• Applicant may not receive monetary stipulations in the amount of $50 per month (average) or higher for dancing on a regular basis (teaching workshops, gigs, or in any dance capacity)

• Applicant must be at least 18 years old

• Applicant must have had a hardship or struggle that affected their dance journey

AWARD

The ‘Dance with No Limits’ Scholarship will be given on an annual basis to one dancer. The selected winner will receive a $500 award to be used towards dance education (i.e. online classes, in-person classes, festivals, costumes, etc.) of the recipient's choice. The winner will also win a years’ subscription to Victoria Teel’s online studio, a mentorship with Victoria to include 3-4 meetings throughout the year, as well as a box of other goodies.
